Become a Volunteer Tutor or Mentor
Tutor/mentors are caring teens and adults from various walks of life. Many come from several colleges including, Oakland University, Wayne State University, University of Phoenix, high schools, churches, and the surrounding community agencies.
The Benefits of Becoming A Tutor/Mentor
The rewards of becoming a tutor/mentor are intangible and cannot be fully described. Besides the invaluable and enriching experience gained by working with students that need help, the tutor/ mentor receives hands-on experience that could be beneficial in helping them further their career.
Requirements
1. A genuine interest and compassion for children
2. Each volunteer must complete an application and participate in the orientation process.
3. For the safety of the students, volunteers will be complete a Central Registry Clearance.
4. We are also mandated by State Law that all volunteers have a current TB test
