We recognize that the challenge of food insecurity is a reality in Brightmoor. We have partnered with wonderful organizations like Gleaners, Forgotten Harvest, DoorKeeper Ministries, and City Covenant Church to provide a supplement of food during what can be a stressful holiday time for those in extreme poverty.
Each year during Easter and Thanksgiving we distribute food baskets to our needy families. This has become one of the highlights of our program, and we have enjoyed working with nearly 150 volunteers coming together to show the love of God.
Our next project will be a Thanksgiving 2023 distribution. We will be assembling and delivering food baskets for seniors and the poor in our neighborhood. If you are interested in helping please join us on November 18th (the Saturday before Thanksgiving) from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
